Aridisols
Aridisols are found in arid regions of all continents. The lack of precipitation in the deserts prevents much leaching and the lack of vegetation does not afford the accumulation of much organic matter. As a result, aridisols typically do not have distinct layers. Some provide rangeland for grazing animals and crops can be grown if water is supplied by irrigation.
